Introduction of Solar Power Generation Equipment at Kameyama Plant Using the On-Site PPA Model

F-TECH INC. is pleased to announce that, as part of our sustainability management initiatives, we have introduced solar power generation equipment (hereinafter “the Equipment”) at our Kameyama Plant (Kameyama City, Mie Prefecture) and have commenced operations.
For the introduction of the Equipment, we have adopted the “PPA Model” through partnership with SMFL Mirai Partners Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo).

What is the PPA Model?

The PPA Model (Power Purchase Agreement) is a structure in which a power generation company installs solar power generation equipment on a company’s premises or rooftop at the generator’s own expense, and then supplies and sells the generated electricity to that company under a long-term contract. The key feature for the company is that it can introduce and use renewable energy stably and continuously without bearing any initial investment or maintenance costs.

F-TECH Kameyama Solar Project Results

With the Equipment now operational, the Kameyama Plant is expected to convert approximately 1.12 million kWh of electricity per year — equivalent to roughly one-eighth of the plant’s annual power consumption — to renewable energy, achieving an estimated annual CO₂ emissions reduction of approximately 460 tonnes (※1).
